THE ART OF BEING YOURSELF

Marina del Rey, California

Sometimes it is hard to slow down, appreciate the things that make you who you are and put self-criticism on hold. I’m pretty sure all of us at some point have been obsessed about the past or the future, wasting our time thinking about the things we should have done differently instead of changing what no longer serves us.  We live in a culture of fear, of ” I’m never-good-enough”; and these thoughts are exactly what prevent us to become the person we want to be in life.

Social media make it easy to get caught up in gaining the approval of others instead of making decisions based on our own needs. If you base what you say and do on the opinions of others, then something has to be changed. It takes a great dose of personality and self-esteem to be loyal to the person you are at any given moment. Participate in your life, give the things you love all your attention, and be at peace with yourself.  Don’t disguise what makes you different, embrace it instead. You are what you deem yourself to be, and always have the option of changing this up whenever you choose. Confidence, attitude and courage it’s all you need.

  1. “Be yourself, everyone else is already taken.” — what a gorgeous quote! Love the pics and the message, it is very true, we need to be true to who we are to be really happy.
    Glad to have met you!
